Lost Pines Toyota's Community Page serving Bastrop, Smithville, La Grange, Cedar Creek, Elgin, Giddings, Flatonia, Gonzales and the Crossroads of Central Texas

Lost Pines Toyota has been dishing up more than just truly exceptional customer service for the first two years of operation. The team at Lost Pines Toyota relocated from New Orleans to open the only Green LEED Certified Car Dealership in Central Texas and they brought their love for Food, Family and passion of community spirit. Over the past couple of years what started as a way for their customers to meet and get to know their staff has grown into must attend tradition for the surrounding community. The first Friday of each Month the team sets up their stock pots and cook a huge communal gumbo for all to enjoy while visiting with their guest. Lost Pines Toyota's clientele now saves the date scheduling maintenance, car washes and tire purchases around the first Friday of the month which has become affectionately known as Gumbo Friday. "What started as an excuse to cook some food that we missed from back home became a way to meet people and get to know the local community in a non-selling no pressure fun way inside the dealership" explained sales manager Jim Wilkinson also a New Orleans native who cooks up those Huge batches of Gumbo . Some Friday's have been dedicated to seasonal or special causes such as birthday and anniversaries, breast cancer awareness Pinked-Out month, to being presented by the District's VFW a POW/MIA Flag by their Color Guard. Depending on the season and the expected crowd the Gumbo will be a seafood or smoked turkey using a couple local Bastrop County BBQ joints famous sausage filling up the 100 or 120 quart pots.
When Lost Pines Toyota isn't serving some of the Best Gumbo in Texas they serve their community with events such as local food drives, Veterans events, Boys & Girls Clubs, education Foundation and Xtreme Xprerience for X-Games.
It seems like Lost Pines Toyota has got the right recipe for success month in and month out as the Austin markets leader in customer service 2 out of 2 years based on GST Customer service survey index scores for 2012 & 2013.

Also Bastrop, Lee & Fayette County Parades, Festivals and Chambers. If you have an interest in Lost Pines becoming involved with your organization or event please reach out to us at point by emailing fill out the submission form on this page.

Gumbo Friday for April with a Corn Maque Choux twist

Gumbo Friday for April celebrated many employees birthday's, anniversaries and Sales associate Syndi Benson's accomplishment of being awarded Silver Sales Society by Toyota. Being spring and crawfish season the Gumbo was substituted with Corn Maque Choux (pronounced Mock-shoe) is creamy, rich stewed corn dish that is most certainly Cajun. The trick to good Maque Choux is using very fresh corn so that you can scrape the pulp and milk out of the cobs which will give the dish it's distinctive creaminess.
